Jack Nelson Dioramas
These displays present an excellent impression of the London & North Western Railway and its surroundings as they would have appeared during the early years of the 20th century.
They were constructed by the late Jack Nelson of Ilford and represent a lifetime's dedicated research. The dioramas are of particular interest and show Mr Nelsons unique contribution to the study of railway history and to the design and construction of perspective models.
The set pieces are earlier examples of his work. Edge Hill Loco depot, Runcorn Bridge and Edge Hill signal box depict actual location whilst the remainder show typical scenes of the period.
